Is this democracy? Two pro-independence mayors arrested without judicial order while fascists act with impunity
Spanish police have also arrested 9 more people (activists, journalists and students). Detentions started early in the morning and the Catalan Superior Justice Court TSJC confirms that NO warrants have been issued

Nine more activists from the CDR protest group and a journalist were also temporarily detained by the Spanish police, all of them for "public disorder" offenses. The lawyer of the detained mayors, Benet Salellas, was denied access to his client for speaking the official language Catalan. "Speak Spanish or you won't be let in," he was told by the Spanish police (in Catalonia) at the door of the police station this morning.
Two of the villages where the illegally arrested mayor's villages, Verges and Celrà, have seen these last months how groups of fascist people with their faces covered by bandanas removed various Catalan independence flags and threatening residents with knives. Today, Spanish police, instead of acting against the fascist, arrested independentist politicians.
